advice for those who write blurbs June 16, 2008

Ruben tells me I should never commit myself in an endorsing blurb, lest I later change my views. Something along the lines of ‘Another book on its subject, this author’s views may convince some. The arguments proceed, one after another (or as the animals, two by two), in the direction to which they tend.’

This is sage advice and I write it down so that I can remember it if I am ever asked to write a blurb.
